The members of Sidcup Lodge are Gentleman from a wide range of backgrounds and ages who regularly gather to enjoy each others company. Being part of a structured organisation such as Freemasonary means it is easy to make new friends and connections and some consider Freemasonary to be the Worlds oldest social network with millions of members worldwide.

 

For much of the time performing degree ceremonies will be a focus for our meetings as well as fund raising for local Charities . Freemasonry's popularity increased at a time when most men were not offered any formal education so in some ways the degrees can be seen as "further education" for moral and personal development. This is inspired by the liberal arts and sciences of the renaissance period.
